Having grown up in Hale, I didn’t fly too far from the nest when I went to Manchester University to study dentistry. I graduated in 2004 and initially worked in Congleton, before joining Wood & Woolfstein in 2007.
Throughout my career I have strived to deliver a high standard of dental treatment in a relaxed, caring way. I am passionate about helping people on their dental journey and adjusting their perceptions of dentistry, especially if they have had a negative experience. My number one aim is that no one should ever fear coming to the dentist!
More recently, having seen the positive change we can make to people’s confidence, using a variety of cosmetic dental treatments, I have become more interested in the wider impact that can be achieved when this is combined with cosmetic facial treatments, such a lip enhancements. Always eager to add to my knowledge and skills, in 2014, I trained under Dr. Tim Pearce, learning how to carry out a wide range of aesthetic treatments using injectable dermal fillers and botulinum toxin. Since then I have advanced my career along this path, so in addition to being a dentist I am now an advanced aesthetic practitioner and trainer in facial aesthetics at one of the leading North West clinics.
Outside of work, I am kept happily busy by my little family: Richard, and our two children Freya and Samuel (not forgetting of course Archie, our cocker spaniel, and Chloe the rabbit!)
I am also a strong advocate for improving mental well-being and breaking down the stigma associated with discussing mental health. As such, I am a supporter of the mental health charity, Mind, and enjoy raising both awareness and much needed funds, most recently completing a challenging but inspiring sponsored 24 hour hike.Back to the About Us page »
