#WeStandTogether
When sitting down to update the “news” section of the website no one would have predicted that any news relating to our practice would pale in to insignificance following the events that occurred just a few miles away on the evening of 22nd May.
We were deeply shocked, like I’m sure many of you, by what happened that night but equally uplifted by the immediate outpouring of support and solidarity not just from Mancunians but from people across Britain and around the world. As a practice, we would like to extend our heartfelt sympathies to all those who have been affected by this tragedy and our sincere thanks to all those who participated in the emergency efforts in the immediate aftermath.
There is a crowdfunding campaign to raise £2,000,000 for the victims and families affected by the attack. If you wish to donate you can do so via the following link: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/westandtogethermanchester
In practice-related news we are saying a fond farewell to 3 members of our team: Rachael one of nurses is moving back home to Oxford, Candice one of our receptionists has been accepted onto a nursing degree course, and finally Mandy another of our receptionists is moving to a new job closer to home after providing cover for maternity leave. We wish all 3 of you the very best and would like to thank you for all your hard work and contributions to the Practice.
Finally, it is a pleasure to congratulate Dr Ahmed and his wife on the safe arrival of their baby boy.
